Hi, thanks for visiting our website. Vivienne and Kevin both New Zealander's by birth, meet in 1970 and have travelled many roads together in search of a magical place that they knew in their hearts was home.
Vivienne was blessed with the gift of imagination and as a child would dream of a land where the rocks would sing to you and the trees had faces, where water magically danced and the wind whispered your name. Cliff faces rose up majestically from the ocean and the mist cloaked your being, giving warmth and security. Consequently all through their life together she stayed connected to these dreams with the gardens she lovingly created and tended. This however was also very frustrating for her as the moss would not grow on the rocks and trees and Ivey did not want to adorn the trees.
In 1989 they moved to Australia with their two young children, to create more adventures and experiences. On their journey to their destination they settled on the Gold Coast in Queensland. Several years later they moved to Mt Tamborine where Vivienne and Kevin both worked tirelessly to create a forest and pond with waterfall. Great rocks where trucked in but they did not sing, again falling short of their expectations as the land was harsh and dry and did not appreciate their heartfelt intentions.
Vivienne and Kevin arrived on the Isle of Man to live in 2009 after many visits prior to making this life changing decision. Here on this very small Island in the middle of the Irish Sea between Ireland, Scotland Wales and England they found what they had been searching for. Here on this small Island that was known as Avalonia 480 million years ago the trees do have faces and moss clads the rocks and trees, Ivey grows wildly covering everything it can cling to with exuberance. This Island is a vortex where there appears to be no beginning and no end and there is always something new and magical to discover.
We have travelled many roads on our journey to our destination, here on "Avalonia", The Isle Of Man. We have found our heaven on earth! This magical Island that holds so many memories for us. A place where time has stood still and yet is always evolving, a place that gives us both great joy, peace and contentment. Our journey has not ended here on Avalonia but is still a continuous discovery of experience and transformation to our evolving destination!
